FAQ's
Are you a shop?
No, we're simply skilled neighbors helping another neighbor out with their car projects.
How do I start a project?
Start your project by filling out the intake form HERE. We will contact you to have an initial conversation. If a job is straight forward and a phone diagnosis is possible, we will schedule your project right away. A $75 deposit is required at the time of scheduling the appointment. This deposit is applied to your final bill.
If a phone diagnosis is not possible and a test drive is necessary, we will schedule an on-site diagnosis.
What is an on-site diagnosis?
For some jobs, an in-person test drive and diagnosis is necessary to accurately diagnose your problem and offer a repair plan and estimate. A diagnostic fee of $75 applies. A nonrefundable deposit of $150 is required at the time of scheduling the appointment. If you move forward with the project, you will receive a $75 credit towards your final repair bill.
What happens after an on-site diagnosis?
We will draft a repair plan and an estimate for you. We will collect a signature from you to begin the repairs. A parts deposit is required for parts totaling more than $300. Depending on parts availability, the repair could be performed on the same day or the next day. If parts need to be ordered and shipped, we will schedule your repair day accordingly.
How much does it cost?
We charge $75 per "shop hour." Jobs are bid according to the industry standard labor estimate books. There is a 15% surcharge on parts. This is standard industry practice, and we actually charge way less than shops. Area shop rates range from $125 to $200. Standard parts surcharge range from 20-30%.
Can I use my own parts?
Unfortunately we do not accept customer supplied parts.
How does payment work?
We take all major credit and debit cards via Square, or Bank Payments via Zelle. There is a 5% transaction fee for all card payments.
Are there any warranties offered?
We are not a shop. Unfortunately, we cannot offer warranties. However, we do have a service pledge.
What is your service pledge?
As a small business, our reputation in the community is our lifeline. We stand behind our work, and if you're not satisfied for any reason, we will make it right by you. We believe in the Golden Rule.
Do you offer refunds?
All sales are final.
What about scrap and waste disposal?
Old parts that fit in the trash will go in your trash bin. We will take care of scrap and waste fluids generated from jobs that cannot go in the trash. A waste disposal fee may apply.
